Spine Fellowship

The DMC Spine Fellowship provides comprehensive experience in the operative and conservative treatment of patients with degenerative, traumatic, oncologic and deformity-based spinal disorders. This program further offers opportunities for leadership, practice management, clinical research, refereed publications, teaching of residents, quality improvement initiatives and community outreach. Surgical expertise in decompression methods, fusion techniques, segmental instrumentation, corrective osteotomy, laminoplasty, and spino-pelvic fixation is complemented by core didactic conferences and multidisciplinary Socratic seminars. The spine service operates at Detroit Receiving Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Michigan, both of which are designated Level I trauma centers.

Applicants should have completed an ACGME accredited residency and be ABOS eligible.
